manufacture
Aux Métiers is, above all, a story of passion. A passion for beautiful clothing, for beautiful craftsmanship and beautiful finishes. It is also an obsession with beautiful, precise, and timeless cuts that will last through time. We have made this passion our profession, our trade since 1981.
Aux Métiers, a story of men and women since 1970.
The beginning
Paul, son of a Brussels master tailor and a recognized stylist in Belgium, joined the company Aux Métiers, Place du Martyre in Brussels. He received training from a Master tailor, Joseph who taught him the art of pattern making as well as a high mastery of technique, from fabric to structure.
1970
1981
The development
Ambitious, Paul bought the company Aux Métiers from its former management, and developed it. In parallel, he developed his own brand “Just Look”, which was met with great success.
The opening
Aux Métiers continues to develop by weaving real ties with Poland. Ties that will intensify over time until the company’s move.
1990
1997
Moving In
We’re setting up shop in Poland. In a country still troubled by its communist past, Paul rebuilds a local team, and awakens dormant talents. A new era begins…
The new team
Accompanied by his wise associate Joanna, the workshop develops again and becomes known for the skills of its team, still present today. Aux Métiers then integrates a wide range of craftsmanship : a jacket workshop, a pants workshop and a workshop of the “flou”.*
1997 > 2007
2007
Prototyping Workshop
The company grows and develops a prototyping workshop in the middle of the Wielkopolska region’s nature park.
Wonderful Brands
Our workshop works with great names of the fashion industry, and celebrated brands, notably Belgian and French. The quality of our creations makes our reputation.

Always looking to the future, Aux Métiers leads new projects based on the strengths of its team, and the experience of its talents.

The power of teamwork
Always looking to the future, Aux Métiers leads new projects based on the strengths of its team, and the experience of its talents.
Made by our little hands
Aux Métiers is first and foremost a team of multi-talented individuals. A family united in a workshop where the culture that connects each person is one of care, accuracy and conscientious application. We are proud to bring these talents together and are committed to highlighting them.
here are the players on our team :
Magda, model maker – Expert hands
With 25 years of experience, Magda’s hands have become more than expert. Working from patterns created in our own workshops, they bring new models to life. It all starts here. With the sketches she receives, Magda seeks the right basic shape and then develops the model with a combination of knowledge and imagination.
Donata, pattern maker – Rigorous and precise hands
An architect’s mind. Extreme precision. This is her mission : to turn the project into something executable. As she likes to say, “There is little room for art, it is precision that reigns in here.” The tools of her hand are a mouse and a keyboard. She works on the first patterns and makes all the necessary adjustments so that we can cut the first prototype in the desired material.
Iza, cutter – Firm and meticulous hands
Touching materials, testing how they react to ironing and gluing, knowing how to handle them without losing their qualities : these are Iza’s skills.
Justyna, the skilled and expert hands
With long years of experience, Justyna handles complex garments with dexterity, particularly jackets and coats that require high technical standards. Every day, she leads and inspires the workshop with her sound and informed advice.
Iwona, the delicate hands
Her limitless imagination and her clever hands allow her to bring the most complex creations to life. She always seeks the best possible finishes, taking into account the fabric, style, as well as production feasibility.
Beata, the grader – the knowledgeable and clever hands
A textile engineer specialized in garments, Beata is responsible for all our grading as well as pattern adjustments. Such adjustments must be made according to the fabric, and its reactions during different stages of manufacturing. She optimizes the use of materials with her inseparable tool : the Lectra software!
and now, for those who work in the office…
Isabelle – the right hand
Faster than lightning, she quickly creates all working documents, production orders, photos, and visualizations. She also bears the task of estimating the time needed to make a model in production.
Witek – the strong and reliable hand
He’s responsible for all the inventory of fabrics and materials, from stock inputs to outputs and component orders. He is also in charge of managing customer orders.
Joanna – the frank hand
As our Company director, Joanna is “the control tower with a thousand legs” according to her own words. As humane as her standards are high, Joanna knows how to take decisions. She sees Aux Métiers as a human ecosystem, striving for the fulfillment of everyone involved, from the team to the customers.
Paul – the hand and the eye
“The master’s eye does more than both of his hands” (Danish proverb). At the inception of the company, Paul watches over as a benevolent founder, ensuring the respect of the rules of the trade and suffusing the passion for tailoring in the workshop. As a demanding Master Tailor (an euphemism, some would say!), he has trained generations of skilled hands to master a flawless method, and still inspires the current one to this day.
